He provided us with all the right information from access on the ice, to correct bait, presentation, and landing of the trophy Bay De Noc walleyes. My brother and I hired Steve at the end of January for the "Bay Du Noc ice fishing experience". Although the fish were a bit uncooperative, we had a great weekend. Nice facilities, knows his stuff and worked his butt off. Also a nice guy to be around for a couple days.

I had a wonderful time! When I caught my salmon, it got tangled on another line. Even though my line broke, the line was caught on the hook of the second line and I was able to bring the salmon in on that pole. It was an experience that I will never forget and will tell all of my friends back in Japan. Thanks again to Steve and Keith!

Steve, Just to set the record strait, Greg does have bragging rights on the king salmon but for some reason he forgot to mention the two coho's that I caught with one being 10 pounds. Steve - Thanks for the great 2 (out of 4) days salmon and trout fishing (catching). Thanks for letting me (Greg) catch the 24 pounder. I'll have bragging rights with Scott and Jef for at least a year. We really enjoyed your fishing abilities and good conversations. We plan on making this an annual trip, so if we succeed at that you will definitely see us next year. It was our first time fishing on Lake Michigan and it was a great experience. Captain Steve & First mate Sandy, Thanks for the fun time fishing this past week. Our son's will remember this trip forever (even though they didn't get the fish). Mom had to get the ball rolling and catch the 1st fish. Anyway it was a successful trip with three 9 lb King Salmon. Fishing with Steve was the best fishing trip I've ever been on. I caught the biggest fish I have ever caught in my whole life. It was a 7lb. Rainbow Trout. I will be scheduling another trip for sure.

Steve Thanks for taking us on such short notice. We had a great time. We enjoyed the fishing (not catching) and we enjoyed the laughing. The morning of July 4th we took a charter for my brother's birthday. Since I am not into fishing like my brother, husband, and father I didn¿t think I would enjoy the trip. I was wrong! All four of us had a great time! Reeling in the fish was super exciting. We ended up catching five fish, three of which were 15 pounds or more. Captain Steve did an amazing job. He made sure we were catching fish and having a good time. We all agreed we would love to take another fishing trip with the Crawler Man and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Captain Steve!

My friend Tony and I were ice fishing on Little Bay de Noc with Crawlerman Steve. Although the bite was slow I managed to bag a nice 30" 10 lb, walleye on a tip up. Being that this was my first time fishing for game fish through the ice, Steve was very helpful and taught me a lot. During the entire day, he made it fun and interesting in the shanty. I highly recommend Steve as a guide for anyone whose looking for one. Steve will be guiding us this spring on the Winnebago system for walleyes. And we are planning on returning to Bay de Noc next winter and hopefully fishing with Steve.

Steve was kind enough to take my friend and I out twice on short notice in late September. He put us on fish early and often. We boated a couple of 16lbs fish and left with a cooler full. Best of all, Steve's great fun to fish with, very personable and friendly. We didn't have our kids with us but I can imagine him being great with kids on the boat. Speaking of the boat, the Crawlerman is very comfortable. I highly recomend him.

We (and my daughter) took a family vacation after our wedding on 08-08-08 to see a packer game and charter a salmon fishing trip. We found Charterman Charter's brochure at the ticket office waiting for a ferry boat in Manitowoc quite a few months ago, and decided to give it a try. We took the 3 1/2 hour trip at night and we caught 4 salmon (the largest being 34 inches) and 2 slightly smaller (didnt' measure) and one 14 inch. We had a great time! My daughter and I (Robin) have never been on a charter fishing trip and loved relaxing and just reeling in the fish and letting someone else clean and fillet our fish for us; and, Elmer's been there done that, but had a great time and thought you were both professional and experienced. Thank you Steve and Sandy (firstmate wifey)! You were great company and made our family vacation a fond memory with lots of salmon in our freezer. God Bless You Both!

The Crawlerman recently took a group of three of us on Lake Michigan trolling for Salmon and Trout. The answer to the first question asked - " How has the fishing been ?" - was not encouraging. Steve said it had been slow. A beautiful evening on the lake seemed like it was only going to give us an opportunity to relax. However, the Crawlerman had other things in mind. 6 hours later, 12 fish in the box, and some sore arms resulted in a fishing trip that we will not soon forget. If you can't catch fish with the Crawerlerman, you can't catch fish.

Over Memorial Day, Steve took my mother, sister and I (all novice fisher-women) on a charter to Poygan Lake. He also coordinated with another captain the charter boat that my husband and brother-in-law were on. My sister caught a 25" Walleye! One of the biggest Steve had seen come out of Poygan. Steve was a perfect gentleman, and lots of fun, too. We had a super time! Thanks for the experience, Steve!

Hey Steve and Sandy! Sorry I never got to write to you since I was out over the fourth of July. I have been extremly busy over the last couple months both working and other stuff. I really had a great time with you especially fishing in the Manitowoc Tournment. Even though the fish didnt cooperate you both made it fun in the boat which is all that really counts. The fish have tasted really good and it brings back good memories of trolling across michigan on a calm morning. Steve is awesome and always shows you a good time. Whether its a 4 hour or 6 hours trip the time flys when your reelin them in left and right. Never had a trip where we didnt catch anything. Great day with the guys had so much fun. Even got the wife out, which was kinda surprising! I have been fishing with Steve for about 15 years. We have been fishing in several locations, they have been some of the times I've had fishing for the amount we have caught. We do a good amount of catch and release. Steve has always put us on a good catch, he is very knowledgeable as to what to use for bait and the presentation and explains why he uses these and the procedures. 2006 was the first year I fished on Lake Michigan and what a blast! Captain Steve "The Crawlerman" is an excellent host and adept captain, making for an extremely enjoyable outing. His equipment and boat are top-notch and well taken care of. Even though I was a rookie, he took me out (just the two of us!) and we ended up with our limit in a short time. I was lucky enough to have caught the big fish of 2006, a 24 pound, 37" salmon. If you want to get on fish, give The Crawlerman a call. You will not be disappointed. Hi All, Looking to catch on to a teriffic charter Captian? Look no further.I have fished with Captain Steve over the last decade. When you go out with the Captian not only will you probably catch a ton of fish, you can count on getting an education too. Steve has taught me how to productivly troll crankbaits and crawler harnesses at the proper speed, depth and structure resulting in more fish. Next time your out on your own, you will have the knowledge and the tools to produce more fish after spending a charter with Steve. Anyone can take you out fishing and catch some fish, but Captain Steve will put you on the fish to catch, and show you a few new tricks as well. Captain Steve has really invested his heart into fishing (and alot of cash!),so reward yourself and some buddies and go fishing with the Crawlerman. FISH ON!!!! Randy

I have fished with crawlerman on many occasions and have learned a great deal from him.I have fished for multiple species and caught my largest King Salmon ever fishing with him.(40in.and 29lbs)I have fished the Great Lakes,the winnebago system,Lil Bay de Noc and some of my most memorable fishing days of my 43 years have been fishing with Capt. Steve.If you book a charter with him you won't be dissapointed, he works very hard to put you on the fish.I only had one opportunity to fish with crawler man in 2006,but I caught my limit and had a great day on the water.

It was Memorial Day a couple years back and I was in a boat with 3 other people. We were out about 2 hrs and no one was getting a bite. Then my line felt like I had a BIG LOG SNAG.... but my brother-n- law said... there is no such thing as a snag around here, just treat it like a fish on the line...I caught my first big Walleye (4lb) ok it was only 2.75 but 4 sounds better for the story. Then I caught another and then a Northern. Everyone else that day got skunked! I won our contest for the week and have been know as the Walleye Slayer since then... pretty good for a girl - heh?
