2-1-10: This is the report from this past weekend. Fishing was pretty slow to say the least. We ended up with a few Northern's ,Perch and one 23" Walleye. Again this weekend like a couple of weeks ago we had quite a few flags and the fish took out some line and then just dropped the bait and also we marked lot's of fish but just couldn't get them to bite. I did hear from other fisherman on the lake that it was slow for them also. Don't get discouraged there are fish there you just have to be there when they decide to bite. The ice is in real good shape we had 17" on Thursday afternoon, you just have to watch the shorelines and pick a good spot to cross the cracks and stay away from Butlers Island.

2-3-10: Yesterday I fished with a buddy from lower Michigan Daryl. We ended up catching 3 undersized Walleye's and 2 nice Northern's. We again marked lot's of fish but they seemed to have lock jaw, they have to eat sometime. Hopefully with the snow cover that we got now and some steady weather they will start to bite. Today I decided to try a different spot for a couple of hours and just set out 3 tip-ups, right at dark when I was going to pick them up a flag went up and I ended up catching a nice 23" Walleye and then another flag went up and the fish stole my sucker.

2-8-10: This past weekend fishing was pretty slow for us we tried a few new spots that didn't pan out very well. We had great group's of people this weekend. Thurs. I fished with Rod and Lee we had a few flags and ended up with 1 little Northern and at about 3 PM the screen on the Marcum lit up until dark but we just couldn't get the fish to bite. Friday PM my customers Doug and Co. for Sat. were looking for a spot to fish, so I gave them a location and right at dark they caught a 25" 6lb Walleye. Then Doug and the guy's on Sat. had a fish on that we battled for 30 minutes and it eventually broke the line and we never got to see it. We have a couple other flags with one being a small Northern then a Walleye that got off at the bottom of the hole. I guess Clyde and the boy's that we had on Friday fished a spot that we pointed out to them and they got a 28" Walleye but I never saw the picture.

2-11-10: I moved some shack's today for the upcoming weekend and decided to fish in one of the new spot's. I marked lot's of fish but no takers jigging then about 6 PM I looked out the shack and a flag was up I went over there and it was spinning pretty good so I thought that it would of been a Northern, but to my surprise it was a 26" 6 pound Walleye. The water was very dirty in the shack but just 40' away it is pretty clear, maybe they are cruising the edge of the dirty water.

3-3-10: Fishing this last weekend was slow to say the least. The DNR Fish Biologist stopped by me about 6 PM Sat. night and told me that he only got sample's of 11 fish all day. We did have a customer his name is Neil that got a nice Gator that was 42.5" and weighted 17.5 pounds he got it on a tip-up. The other picture is of a 30" 10 pound Eye that I caught last week. As far as the landings go, I came home on Monday and am heading back up this morning, but I spoke with Mark yesterday and he said that the yellow gate landings are still OK. T-Rock I know that the Vagabond had a big snow drift that they were plowing out last weekend, but I am sure that they got it taken care of. I know some guy's that drove off of there last Sunday.
